Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in our diagnostic imaging department. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare to our community.
Schedule: 1st shift; M-F
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Operate sophisticated imaging equipment to capture high-quality images, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
- Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a nuclear medicine specialization.
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and associated software.
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
