Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients, advising on and ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials
• Guiding patients and their families in understanding preventive care, health promotion, and effective disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments within your scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing long-term care
• Working cohesively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Documenting all patient interactions meticulously in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications You’ll Need

• Earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
