Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using a blend of standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions that focus on various aspects of speech, language fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, and families to develop cohesive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and guidance for patients and their families to facilitate progress during and beyond clinical visits.
• Support with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care throughout their healing journey.
• Maintain diligent and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain abreast of new advancements in the field through continued education and interactive collaborations with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of employment.
