Your Impactful Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians or operating independently depending on your qualifications
• Instructing patients and their families on prevention, health promotion, and chronic illness management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapeutic options within your scope of practice

Qualifications You Will Need

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure from the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure these within 90 days)
