Find Your Future in the Heart of South Texas – Medical Lab Tech Role with a Strong Sense of Place
In a town where ranching traditions, historic railroads, and new energy coexist, there’s something deeply grounding about life here. Tucked between Houston, San Antonio, and the sparkling Gulf Coast, this South Texas crossroads offers a pace of life that’s both steady and full of opportunity. It’s a place where frontier spirit still lingers in the architecture, where local shops and revitalized downtown blocks tell stories of resilience and pride, and where you can build a life that feels connected—to your work, your community, and your purpose.
We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT / CLT) to join a team that knows the value of quiet dedication. In our lab, the work is essential, and so is the person behind it. This full-time role is ideal for new graduates or those just beginning their careers in medical laboratory science, offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment where you’re never just a number. Whether you’re drawn to the precision of testing, the rhythm of routine, or the mission behind every result—you’ll find a home here.
You’ll learn by doing: collecting and analyzing specimens like blood, urine, and tissue, operating high-tech lab instruments, and conducting routine diagnostics that help guide patient care. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your understanding of quality control, documentation, and compliance, all while contributing to a greater goal—delivering timely, accurate information that supports healing and hope.
To step into this role, you should have an associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or a related field, and be certified or certification-eligible through ASCP, AMT, or an equivalent organization. We welcome those just starting out—you don’t need years of experience to make an impact here. What matters most is your reliability, attention to detail, and desire to grow in a team-first environment. Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy, and a steady presence go a long way in our lab.
But this opportunity is about more than what happens inside the lab. This South Texas town is alive with character and contrast—historic missions and revitalized main streets, quiet prairies and lively community events. You’re close enough to major cities for weekend trips, but far enough away to appreciate open skies and open roads. There’s something undeniably special about working in a place where stories of the past meet a future that’s still being written—and you’re part of that story.
At MLR, we believe in supporting emerging professionals who are passionate about patient care and ready to build something lasting. This isn’t just a starting point—it’s a chance to become part of a close-knit, mission-driven team that values integrity, innovation, and compassion.
If you’re ready to begin your lab career in a place with history, heart, and room to grow—we’d be honored to welcome you.
